"Payments is one of the first and most obvious use cases for crypto, yet adoption has a lot of room to grow,” said Maximiliano Hinz, general director of Binance in Latin America. “By using the Binance Card, merchants continue to receive fiat and the users pay in cryptocurrency they choose.”
How can we call this a crypto card, Mastercard still uses legacy networks. It's an arbitrage card where your crypto is converted to digital fiat stored in a Mastercard nothing decentralized to magical about it.
Yeah, I agree. But hopefully it is a first step to go full-crypto? It helps to make people start using crypto in their everyday life
We've been hoping but there is much resistance to the point some Fintech's in the space are black balled from even getting their Blockchain profiles updated on coinmarketcap, coingecko and etherscan until we have alternatives to those platforms nothing much will change in the consumer, merchant convergence for crypto adaptation in the payment space.
When you have a card that stores real crypto and you swap it for value that is a true crypto card, it's called a crypto wallet the issue is lack of POS platforms adapted by merchants because they are tied into the visa and mc legacy networks and no one dares to promote anything else.
